The Story

Glass scape

Inspired by the view through a misty, rain-streaked window, "Glass Scape" captures a world of softened outlines and bleeding seasonal colours. This poetic landscape comes alive through a tactile premium weave of linen and cotton from the historic Banshu (Hyogo) region. Elegant and beautifully structured, the natural yarn irregularities catch the light with shimmering dimensions.

Banshu-ori Textiles

Nestled in the lush, nature-rich region of Nishiwaki, Hyogo, hatsutoki fabrics are crafted using traditional banshu-ori (播州織) techniques that date back over 200 years.

Blessed with abundant, crystal-clear river water perfect for yarn-dyeing, this historic textile hub is renowned for its premium quality. By weaving together intricately pre-dyed yarns, we create fabrics defined by their stunning depth of colour, poetic textures, and an incredibly soft touch against the skin.

Every thread carries the serenity of our natural surroundings and the meticulous craftsmanship of local artisans.
